Summit Overview

The Beyond Routes: Western Summit, hosted by the Western Tribal Technical Assistance Program (Western TTAP) and partners, convenes rural, tribal, state, regional, and community transportation leaders from across the Western United States.

The summit provides a forum for collaboration, technical training, peer learning, and partnership building to strengthen transportation and mobility systems serving rural communities, Tribal Nations, and communities across the Western region. Special emphasis is placed on the unique transportation challenges and opportunities facing rural and tribal communities, including safety, workforce development, infrastructure, access to essential services, emerging technologies, coordination, and building sustainable transportation programs.

The summit brings together Tribal Nations, tribal transportation programs, rural and public transit providers, state DOTs, Tribal Technical Assistance Programs (TTAPs), regional planning organizations, mobility managers, federal partners, community organizations, technical assistance providers, and industry partners to exchange practical strategies, share successful approaches, and build stronger regional connections.
